PREPARATION OF

Pasta with Tomato Sauce Recipe

Making pasta is a practical and quick solution, but if we apply some tips that make it delicious, then we have made a perfect choice. For example, cooking the pasta in water as salty as sea water, using the pasta water in the sauce instead of pouring it down the sink, and not rinsing the pasta under the tap after it's cooked are small but impactful tips that can result in wonderfully delicious pasta. Enjoy the taste of this recipe, where you will feel the freshness and witness the amazing harmony of garlic and basil. Bon appétit!

1. Place the pasta in a deep pot of salted, boiling water and cook for 8-10 minutes.

2. The pasta is done when it is al dente, meaning it is firm to the bite but cooked through.

3. Remove from heat and drain. While draining, reserve the pasta water in another pot. This water will come in handy in the final step.

4. While the pasta is cooking, start preparing the sauce. In a medium-sized sauce pan, sauté the onions and garlic in oil.

5. Dice 4 tomatoes and add them to the sauce pan. Add a cube of sugar, tomato juice, and some of the reserved pasta water to the sauce. Cook over low heat.

6. When the sauce begins to thicken, finally add the basil and spices.

7. Add the pasta and sauce to a pot and mix well. Serve hot with grated cheese on top.
